Heucherella 'Gold Zebra'

Previously known as Heucherella 'Golden Zebra'. The stark colouring may remind you of Coleus but these are hardy plants with larger leaves. The bold colours and feathery edged foliage makes for what some may consider garish, others dazzling.

Does Heucherella 'Solar Eclipse' remind you of 'Gold Zebra' at all?.

Heucherella's

Many of the Heuchera and Heucherella varieties are very similar as you can see from the two leaf images. They are grown for there often very bright and colourful evergreen foliage covering a vast range of colours. Whilst they do flower you probably wouldn't buy them for this reason. There is no other plant that offers such a wide and diverse range of foliage colouring and patterns.

Outstanding leaf colour

The contrasting yellow and red colouration of this Heucherella 'Gold Zebra' will brighten any shady spot. Prefers shade to partial shade and enjoys more moisture compared to Heuchera.

It produces white flower in June and July but the real reason you buy this plant is for it's foliage. Red almost burghandy centres with yellow to green edges and looks far from retiring.
